When client Van der Wees needed to transport their 87-metre luxury super-yacht from Papendrecht to Rotterdam, they trusted Sarens with the operation.
Four Sarens team members used Kamag K24 SPMTs with 76 axle lines to handle the 1.210 tonne load. First, Sarens performed the load-in onto the client's barge. For this, a ship lift was used to position the yacht, SPMTs were removed, and the lift lowered the ship into the water.
When the barge reached its destination, the Shipyard Slob in Rotterdam, Sarens also performed the load-out. The team had to be careful to plan for a maximum ground pressure of 6 t/m² on the unloading quayside, and used 23-metre long load-out bridges.
