Belgian Sarens Group is recognized internationally as a worldwide leader of heavy lifting and engineered transport. However, for Sarens in Norway this contract is a milestone of its commitment to the oil and energy industry in Norway.

"This contract is very significant for Sarens Norway and plays an integral part of our foundation for further growth and expansion in Norway," says Bjørnar Loe, Country manager of Sarens Norway.

During the next few year Sarens Norway will perform all crane and lifting operations for Statoil on Kårstø and Tjeldbergodden onshore plants.

Today, Sarens in Norway employs approximately seventy employees consisting of engineers, riggers, crane operators and administrative personnel, in its offices in Verdal, Kristiansund, Haugesund and Stavanger.

This contract fosters the demand for further recruitment of engineers to Sarens Norway's engineering department in order to continue bringing world class technical solutions for heavy lifting, complex rigging, specialized transport and crane services to the market.

"Our vision and goals are our reality. We listen to our customers. In short, we know them, understand their needs and take care of their concerns. This leads to long-lasting relationships based on trust, safety and reliability", says Viktor Røsand, Sales Manager for Sarens Norway.

In addition, Sarens will also need to further strengthen its competence pool of crane and transport operators to meet the future demand of onshore and offshore projects.
