Today, there is a global call for action towards accelerating the transition to green energies. With international multilateral agreements in mind and national strategies in place that will accelerate the energy transition, Sarens has been the frontrunner for the past 10 years in construction and industrial green actions. We understand that enabling the transition to green energy is not enough. Our vision and strategy is to accelerate transition to greener, sustainable energies.

We are honoured to have receive the Environment Award at the Heavy Lift Awards 2022 concluded yesterday, at the Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg, Germany. The event was attended by over 300 guests from across the industry.

According to the judges, “Sarens presented its wide-ranging approach to sustainability through several environmental initiates, from changes to its organisation, electrifying its fleet, stripping out zinc from hydraulic oil, installing 2,886 solar panels at its headquarters to partnering on projects that reduce CO2, to name a few.”

Wim Sarens, CEO, Sarens, remarked: “Sarens is thankful to HLPFI for having recognised our efforts and commitment to sustainability. We are proud of designing and building our first giant electric crane - the SGC-90 and have further investments planned in the coming years to accelerate the transition to green energies.”

Sarens also sponsored the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Heavy Lift Awards. The award was presented to Chris Kent for his remarkable contribution to the project cargo supply chain industry.
