Sarens is proud to play an active role in the scheduled preventive maintenance (SPM) programme currently underway at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PNHZ) in Kazakhstan. Working alongside client AVC Group, Sarens deployed its AC 500 crane to support the lifting and replacement of large-scale equipment, ensuring safety, precision, and adherence to strict regulatory standards.

The SPM operation, which began in June 2025 and is scheduled to continue until July, is being carried out in line with the Republic of Kazakhstan’s industrial safety legislation and the national plan approved by the Ministry of Energy.

Within the scope of the SPM programme, two major equipment upgrade projects have already been completed. In the plant’s primary oil refining workshop, eight electric dehydrators were replaced. These units are essential for the initial stage of oil processing, removing salt and water from crude oil using electric fields. Simultaneously, four tanks in the liquefied gas storage park were dismantled and replaced as part of ongoing improvements at the petroleum compounding and shipping facility. The next phase will involve the replacement of six additional tanks of a similar type.

Approximately 100 specialists have been involved in these high-stakes operations, supported by heavy lifting equipment including truck-mounted cranes with capacities of up to 500 tonnes, as well as a specialised lowboy trailer for transporting oversized structures.

Sarens' AC 500 crane was brought in for its proven lifting performance and flexibility in confined industrial environments. Working in coordination with site engineers and safety personnel, the Sarens team ensured that each lift was executed in full compliance with local safety protocols, without disrupting ongoing product shipments from the plant.

Rahul Jaiswal, representing Sarens in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, expressed appreciation for the coordination and professionalism demonstrated on site. “This project reflects the strength of Sarens’ regional expertise and our commitment to supporting Kazakhstan’s critical infrastructure with safe, reliable lifting solutions.”

As the SPM programme continues, Sarens remains ready to assist with ongoing lifting requirements and equipment mobilisation at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant and throughout the region.
