Every year, IRN produces a league table of the top 100 rental companies in the world, based on their revenues from the previous year. The 2020 list is based on 2019 revenues (or the most recent financial year) and include sales of used fleet and consumables/contractor supplies.

According to the International Rental News, “The figures from the IRN100 suggest a healthy and robust rental industry in 2019 – if a slightly more cautious one than in the previous year – with penetration rates continuing to grow and the market further consolidating.”

In the words of Sarens CEO, Wim Sarens, "Our business model of diversifying across geographies, market sectors, and equipment types has allowed us to create sufficient new opportunities by reallocating the fleet within our company."

Looking at the ranking released, Sarens ranks at number 10 in the IRN100 Top 10 'Global' players. Sarens also bagged 19th rank worldwide in terms of revenues and at 10th rank in Europe.

The CEO adds, “At Sarens, we are adapting and are remaining fully operational during this trying period of Covid-19 pandemic. Once this is over, we know we will be able to face the next day with the same might we did in the aftermath of many global crises our company has seen through in over 60 years of existence.”
