Sarens in Vietnam is playing a pivotal role in Vietnam's energy sector by supporting the construction of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant in Quang Binh Province. This large-scale project, which began in August 2023, is expected to be completed by August 2025. Once operational, the plant will significantly enhance Vietnam's energy capacity, contributing approximately 8,4 billion kWh annually to the national power grid. This milestone underscores Sarens’ commitment to bolstering energy security and driving sustainable development.
Sarens in Vietnam’s expertise and track record of successful collaborations with Lilama 18 earned it the opportunity to contribute to this prestigious project. Over the years, Sarens has consistently delivered solutions that exceed client expectations, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner in the region.
The project demanded meticulous planning and the deployment of cutting-edge equipment to meet stringent requirements. Sarens utilised a fleet of cranes, including the CC6800 (1250 tonnes), CC1500 (300 tonnes), and two GR600EX (60 tonnes each), tailored to the client’s specific needs. These cranes, transported from Malaysia and Phu My, were carefully assembled on-site in just two weeks despite challenging weather conditions, including storms.
The project faced logistical complexities, such as confined spaces and the transport of heavy components, with maximum part weights reaching 190 tonnes lifted to 80m height. Adverse weather, including high winds and rain, added to the difficulties. Nevertheless, Sarens’ skilled team of engineers and operators ensured seamless execution through careful preparation and coordination.
By ensuring the timely construction of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant, Sarens is not only contributing to Vietnam's energy infrastructure but also fostering economic growth and stability. This project exemplifies Sarens’ dedication to delivering excellence in complex engineering and lifting solutions.
