Sarens Enters Taiwanese Market
Sarens in Taiwan to provide onshore logistics for offshore wind projects
October 2018

Sarens Group has begun its operations in Taiwan, bringing expertise in state-of-the-art equipment and heavy lifting to the offshore wind market.

The newly-formed Sarens in Taiwan is positioned to make the most of the Taiwanese government's positive policy on offshore wind energy, which is generating major growth opportunities. The government of Taiwan will be awarding a total of 10,5GW in grid capacity for offshore wind contracts, and is already on track to add 4.066MW of offshore wind power by 2025.

To meet new development needs, Sarens in Taiwan will maintain a fleet of SPMTs, SGC-120s, SGC-90s, and CC-8800s. It will provide onshore logistics for offshore projects, including:

  • Barge transport
  • Unloading and reloading of heavy parts
  • SPMT transport to temporary storage
  • JIT delivery to offshore site
  • Logistics management
  • Full operation scope, including project management and SHEQ
  • Engineering, including 3D animation

As part of its strategy in the region, Sarens in Taiwan will expand its nearly 15-person team with positions that include an independent engineer and site manager. It will be hiring well-trained employees from around Southeast Asia, Europe, and other regions at first but is committed to training and hiring Taiwanese locals in the long-term.

Clients who are interested in working with Sarens in Taiwan can contact or call +886 7 3383385. The venture is located at 7F, No.53, Minquan 1st Road, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City 802, Taiwan (R.O.C.).
