Sarens Canada Opens New Office in Leduc, Canada
Sarens celebrates the opening of its new Canadian head office
December 2016

We're excited to celebrate the opening of our newest office in Leduc, Alberta.

This facility is now the new home and head office of Sarens Canada division. It officially opened its doors on November 24th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a gathering of special guests, including Chairman of the Board, Ludo Sarens.

Sarens chose Leduc for the new Canadian head office because it is close to a large airport, high load corridors, and the existing office, which allows the Group to retain its current high-quality workforce.

Sarens is thrilled to be growing in this region and helping it grow, too. The Group has proudly served Alberta since 2011, when it acquired Canada Crane Services. Since then, it has invested heavily in the region's growth, more than tripling employment in the province of Alberta from 70 to approximately 240 employees.

Sarens has also invested in the local community, providing food to Fort McMurray wildfire evacuees and supporting the Boyle Street Services Winter Warming Bus in its mission to spread food, warmth, and shelter to those sleeping out in the cold.

Many of the Group's clients, business partners, and employees, as well as distinguished guests, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Sarens was especially pleased to welcome:

  • Councillor David Mackenzie, Deputy Mayor of the City of Leduc
  • Shaye Anderson, MLA for Leduc-Beaumont
  • Ludo Sarens, Chairman of the Board, Sarens
  • Mike Hussey, Regional Director for North America, Sarens
  • Kenneth Burke, Canadian Country Manager, Sarens
  • Jane McDonald, Safety Manager for Canada, Sarens

Councillor David Mackenzie and Shaye Anderson graciously greeted the audience; Jane McDonald shared important safety insights; Kenneth Burke presented the history and operations of Sarens in Canada; and Mike Hussey gave an update on the happenings in North America and how the Group is giving back to the community. Finally, Ludo Sarens gave the keynote address, inspiring the crowd with stories of Sarens' proud history and legacy.

Guests were also treated to a tour of the new building, with its various equipment and vehicles on display, and enjoyed steamy Belgian waffles, scrumptious toppings, and refreshing beverages.

Sarens would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this event a success, as well as all those who have been part of the Group's growth in Canada. We are excited to serve this region and look forward to many wonderful years ahead.
