The 2018 chapter of the Gloabl wind summit organised in Hamburg was centred around the theme of "Breaking new ground". The focus of the event was the evolving wind sector in terms of costs, technology and where it's being deployed - and how it's beginning to look beyond the electricity sector at how it can help decarbonise the rest of the energy system.

In sync with the developments, Sarens is focusing its global resources, expertise, and might to lift up the market, supporting clients from Europe to Australia. In addition to work on major projects across the globe, Sarens is also shaping the future of the wind industry with crane designs built to support powerful, next-generation turbines.

The Global Wind Summit has two main events: the WindEnergy Hamburg expo and the WindEurope Conference. The event had more than 1,400 exhibitors, 500 speakers, and energy ministers from around the world. EU Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete, IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol, and the Director General of BusinessEurope, Markus Beyrer also participated in the event.

Sarens wind experts from around the globe, specializing in both onshore and offshore markets, were available at our booth to discuss Sarens' solutions for the changing needs of the wind sector. Sarens also sponsored the drinks and munchies on the second day of the event along with sponsoring the charging stations at the venue.
